OLIVE OIL (Olea europaea oil)
The medicinal properties of olive oil have been known since ancient times. Olive oil is rich with oleic acids, vitamins, beta-carotene, polyphenols, essential fatty acids, and especially alpha-linoleic acid.
It provides excellent care, especially in the case of very dry skin.
ALMOND OIL (Amygdalus prunu oil)
Almond is a woody plant of the rose family. Almond oil is an excellent emollient for softening and regenerating skin with eczema, psoriasis, and dry and inflamed skin that is prone to itching.
WILD CABBAGE EXTRACT (Brassica oleracea)
A Mediterranean plant known back in the time of the pharaohs, mostly found in the Croatian coastal region, the Islands and Dalmatian hinterland, where people and livestock have consumed it for years. It is considered one of the healthiest foodstuffs in the world. It is rich in vitamins and minerals, particularly carotene, which is considered a prerequisite for vitamin A because the human body can transform it into vitamin A, which is ideal for nutrition and skin care.
ALOE VERA (Aloe Barbadensis)
Discovered on the island of Barbados, and due to its exceptional medicinal properties it is called the “queen of medicinal plants”. The main part of the plant used is its gel, a gelatine mass found in the inner part of the leaves.
Aloe Vera is a nutritious plant for each human cell and it has long been considered an elixir of youth. It has been proven that Aloe Vera gel contains over 240 nutritious and medicinal ingredients. It contains vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B9, B12, C, E, folic acid, more than 20 minerals, magnesium, manganese, zinc, copper, chromium, calcium, potassium and iron, and 20 different amino acids.
It has been confirmed as one of the most medicinal plants in the world and applied to the skin it treats burns, insect bites, allergy rashes, acne, small wounds, eczema, etc.
WITCH-HAZEL EXTRACT (Hamamelis virginiana)
Witch-hazel grows as a bush or small tree, originating in South America. Witch hazel bark and leaves have medicinal properties and were used by North American Indians for years. It has antibacterial, regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties. Witch-hazel is an excellent ingredient to combat atopic dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis. It soothes (reduces redness), firms and refreshes the skin.
SHEA BUTTER – (Butyrospermum parkii) is also known as karite or mandingo.
The Shea tree grows in Central and Western Africa, in dry regions around the Sahara. The tree itself grows to a height of about two metres and it takes fifteen years for it to bear its first edible nuts.
Shea butter is suitable for hydration of all types of skin because it retains moisture. It is especially effective in regeneration of the cells of older and wrinkled skin. It is perfect for care of sensitive children’s skin because it does not cause any allergic reactions.
Due to its anti-inflammatory action it helps with various skin issues such as acne, seborrhoea, psoriasis, eczema and atopic dermatitis.
CAPSAICIN (Capsicum) an active component of chilli peppers, it promotes blood circulation and reduces itchiness.
Through a series of conducted scientific-medicinal research, the first of which dates back to 1980, it was proven that regular use of capsaicin successfully reduces up to 80 % of the symptoms of serious cases of psoriasis, while in milder cases symptoms have completely disappeared.
Application may cause tingling of the skin which is normal and completely harmless to the human body and skin.
Capsaicin is also used as a local anti-rheumatic, and has been medically proven to also act as a anaesthetic.
ALLANTOIN (Allantoinum) – is the main active substance of the root of the comfrey plant.
This is an organic substance with strong keratolic and astringent action.
Allantoin stimulates the exchange of substances in subcutaneous tissue and promotes cell growth (proliferation) resulting in epithelisation and has a protective effect on the skin.
It has a strong anti-inflammatory action and strengthens the immune system. Allantoin is a known to combat against pain and reduces swelling during inflammation.
CHLOROPHYLLIN (Chlorophyllin) a substance considered the strongest natural agent for protection of the body, it makes cells resistant to the action of bacteria and promotes the healing of wounds. Dr. Richard Willstadter received the Nobel Prize for discovering the chemical structure of chlorophyll in 1915.
The active substance of chlorophyll is chlorophyllin, i.e. copper salt and chlorophyll isolated from alfalfa. It is interesting that chlorophyllin, as well as chlorophyll have a similar structure to haemoglobin in red blood cells and can transfer oxygen through bodily fluids. This is why we can say that chlorophyll is the green blood of the plant world. It has been researched for more than 20 years as an antimutagen. Today we have available a large quantity of evidence proving the anti-cacogenic, antimutagen and anti-oxidant strength of chlorophyllin.
